Nitro V steel is the latest knife, an improved version of AEB-L. It’s composed of a high percentage of nitrogen and vanadium, which makes it more corrosion-resistant.

Nitro V steel is tougher steel than s35vn. Nitro V can handle tough tasks without the risk of chipping or breaking, whereas s35vn can’t compete with the toughness of NitroV.

3. Corrosion resistance

S35vn offers great corrosion resistance with a high percentage of chromium(14%), carbon, and vanadium. Nitro v also shows better corrosion resistance; still, it can’t compete with the s35vn for less chromium (13%)  and carbon percentage.

 4. Edge retention

S35vn steel has greater edge retention than Nitro V steel. s35vn contains a high amount of carbides and edge retention properties. s35vn holds the edge for longer than Nitro V.

 5. Ease of sharpening

Nitro v steel is much easier to sharpen than s35vn. Although s35vn is a little hard to sharpen, it doesn’t require frequent sharpening.
